About Us

A strong public library is the foundation upon which a community can preserve the past, empower lives today, and build for the future.

The Way Public Library Foundation was established in 1992 as a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization by a group of citizens who understood that a strong public library would not be possible through public funding alone.

The foundation ensures that with the help of private donations the Way Public Library will continue to be a vital, responsive, and proactive library with programs and collections that capture the minds and hearts of readers and citizens of all ages.

Since its founding, the Foundation has raised over $1.1 million and has played a crucial role in ensuring that Way Public Library continues to meet the changing needs of our community. Over the past 17 years, donations have helped strengthen the collections, expand programs, enhance services and supported the building expansion project of 2001. The foundation manages special funds designated to benefit specific areas of the library, raises funds to support our goals, and is focusing on building our Endowment to secure Way’s future.

Our goal is to continue to provide funding for projects that encourage children and young adults to cultivate a life-long enthusiasm for reading and learning, to continue to support collections, programs, and services, and to act as advocates to ensure that library services continue on into the future.

Today's challenges can only be met by increasing private support of Way Public Library.  All gifts to the Way Public Library Foundation are fully tax-deductible as allowed by the law. We thank you for your consideration.
